I recently learned my friend Joel loves maps. Finally! The perfect use for this 1953 silk map I've had in my stash for years. I made Joel a big map pillow.
I stitched a message all wavy and loopy like the lines on the map. Ok, maybe that's as refined as my stitching capabilities allow. Whatever the case, it looks just right. I picked a beautiful navy stripe for the borders and back.
